Holiday Service Project
We will be adopting a family from the community for the holidays this year and providing them with gifts/assistance. Please help us give a family in the community a happy holiday season. Cash donations will be accepted at the November community meeting and a list of items to donate will be included in the December newsletter.
So You Think You Can Bake?
Bring 2 dozen cookies to the December community meeting, and bring home the top prize at our cookie baking contest! (No, you can’t buy cookies and say that you baked them!)
Care Packages for Soldiers
We would like to send care packages to soldiers overseas for Valentine’s Day. If you know of anyone from the community currently serving overseas, or are interested in helping or providing donations, please contact us at
medfieldpublicservice@hotmail.com.
PAST PROJECTS AND EVENTS
Medfield Spring Fair & Flea Market A Success!
See
photos . . .
The Entertainment/Public Service Committee would like to thank everyone who contributed to the 2007 Medfield Spring Fair and Flea Market. Special thanks go out to our sponsors: The Wine Source, JT’s Market, Village Flower Mart, Kumbyah, Sirkis Paint and Hardware, Baltimore Coffee Company and Petit Louis. Big thanks as well to Aldersgate Church, all of the volunteers, and the many community members who had spaces as well as those who attended the fair.
The fair also provided the opportunity to thank Mrs. Dorris Appleby for her many years of service in tending to Weldon Circle. Appleby Way was named in her honor during a ceremony at the fair – a very big thank you to Mary Pat Clarke for presiding over the ceremony, and to all the volunteers that helped make the street naming possible.

The Medfield Community Association Adopts a Family for the Holidays (2006)
The Medfield Community Association adopted a family for the holidays in collaboration with the House of Ruth, a local nonprofit organization. The House of Ruth is a domestic violence center in northeast Baltimore City which serves the entire city, helping battered women and their children find safety. The MCA was proud to help a family in need enjoy the holiday season by providing gifts for a family living in a House of Ruth shelter or transitional housing.
